How Was Anna Repkina Killed?

Anna Repkina was killed by a single shotgun blast to the head and later found by a caretaker on a remote logging road in Alsea, a Benton County town in Oregon, on April 17, 2017.

Anna Alekseyevna Repkina, who was from Moscow, is believed to have moved to Corvallis, Oregon in March 2017.

A year prior to her death she was searching for a romantic connection online and joined a Russian social networking site, where she met then 26-year-old William Hargrove of Oregon.

William who worked as a mechanic at a local auto dealership was later charged for Repkina’s murder.

Police apprehended William due to evidence among trash debris left by the perpetrator, which included his dated KFC receipt, in the same wooded area Repkina’s body was found.

Prosecutors believe that William shot her in the back of the head in an abandoned Oregon wood.

William was caught on video surveillance at various ATM’s withdrawing cash from Repkina’s account.

He was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 25 years.
